The Paul Bunyan Snowmobile Club proudly maintains approx 30 miles of trails which connect Bangor to Glenburn, Hermon
ITS 84 and Hampden ITS 82.
It's an enjoyable way to keep active during Winter.
Bangor, true home of the world famous Paul Bunyan, offers
many forms of lodging, restaurants, fuel and sled dealer support. When riding the trails you'll experience Bangor's mix of
city and country sites. From the air plane in Stephen King's novel
"The Langoliers" to
the beautiful wildlife and wilderness.
We try to keep the club active during Winter with group
rides, and spending most Friday evenings during the winter hanging out at the clubhouse,
or by a fire for
games and refreshments. It's proved to be a great opportunity to meet area sledders and recruit a few new members. Many of us get together for an evening dinner rides
to an area restaurants. We're hoping to also offer some family ice skating on the
pond once it freezes. Nothing like a afternoon of ice skating and hot dogs on
the fire to make your weekend. Click the calendar tab for a list of our
activities, drop us an e-mail, and check back here for updates.

We've
been holding our Friday night gatherings at the PBSC clubhouse on
Union St. (See the trail map for directions if you are unsure where
to go). If the lights are on someone is there. Sometimes the Friday night meal
menu has varied between lasagna, fried turkey, BBQ pulled pork
sandwiches, beef stew, and don't forget desert ...stop in and say hi,
you might get a meal out of it.
Do you live in Bangor... and own a snowmobile? ...why not join the club and show support for the

Snowmobile Maine!
|
|
When
the winter snows begin to pile up in the state of Maine, the phones
start ringing and the e-mails fly at the Maine Snowmobile
Association office. Snowmobilers from across the northeast all have
the same question. Where's the snow? |
|
For
tens of thousands of snowmobilers who ride in Maine each winter, the
comfortable lodging, variety of good restaurants and welcoming ways
of Maine people are appreciated - but the true draw is the trails.
Sledders seek good groomed trails with clear signage and, most
importantly, the snow. |
|
Snow
depth is one thing MSA clubs can't control. Last season many clubs
in the state had low or no snow - while some clubs in northern Maine
were up to their armpits in it. Other years, snow blankets the state
all winter, groomed riding everywhere... |
|
Wherever the snow decides to land, there's most likely an MSA club
in the area that has been preparing for its arrival for months.
Volunteers have consulted with landowners, brushed out the trail,
built and repaired bridges, posted signage and, as grooming begins,
are ready to welcome riders to the trail system of which they are
justifiably proud. |
|
Join
them on the trails! All that club members ask in return is that you
ride safely, operate within the law and respect the landowner, the
land and club efforts. Snowmobile Maine. Ride Right, and enjoy.
